County Emergency Communications in Bramwell, WV is seeking Emergency Medical Dispatchers to support urgent medical responses. You will receive calls, confirm locations, gather details, and prioritize dispatches using approved protocols to coordinate EMS resources.

Role may require CPR and EMS dispatcher certification; training or sponsorship may be provided. These positions may include overnight shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed to maintain 24/7 coverage.

Qualifications

• CPR certification may be required.
• Emergency Medical Dispatcher certification may be required.
• Sponsored training or certification may be provided by the employer.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls involving illness, injury, and other medical emergencies.
• Confirm the patient’s location, callback number, and access details.
• Ask approved questions about the patient’s condition.
• Determine response priority through the authorized medical dispatch system.
• Dispatch or coordinate ambulance resources when included in the assignment.
• Provide protocol-based instructions within current qualifications.
• Relay patient information and scene hazards to responding personnel.
• Document call processing and participate in quality-review activities.
