FSCA also services customers utilizing its 20+ nationwide service centers; each offering select services, such as accident repair, paint, refurbishment, and heavy mechanical repair. Supported by a 24/7 in-house call-center, FSCA provides maintenance scheduled and unscheduled services to fleets anywhere, anytime.

FSCA is currently hiring an EMS Technician Level II. This is a mid-level Technician responsible for performing certified DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance inspections, light repairs, and follow-up repairs. The technician will also perform light mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic diagnostics, along with other duties as assigned. Responsibilities include scheduled work on customer fleets and emergency roadside service. The role requires creative problem-solving in emergencies, self-management, effective decision-making, excellent customer service, attention to detail, and situational awareness. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to operate effectively in emergency situations are essential. The technician must follow established procedures for repairs, safety practices, and documentation, striving for excellence and quality in all work performed.

Duties

  • Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters, alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, power steering, engines (gas and diesel), transmissions, clutches, differentials, etc.
  • Participate in safety training and stay updated on safety protocols to maintain a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Document work according to company standards, upload pictures, and record findings using company devices and the PRONTO application.
  • Communicate with management, team members, and dispatch via Microsoft Office, email, or phone to discuss repairs, obtain approvals, and notes.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety, health, environmental policies, and federal regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
  • Obtain parts from approved vendors necessary for repairs.
  • Complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly.
  • Manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck, performing periodic reconciliation.
  • Understand and evaluate technical information related to the job.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and manage your daily schedule independently.
  • Work with clients to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve issues.
  • Adhere to company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, and more.
  • Consult with customers, dispatch, and sales teams to understand vehicle problems and discuss work to be performed.
  • Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess and supply necessary hand tools.
  • Must pass a DOT-regulated background screening and physical prior to employment.
  • Valid DOT medical card or equivalent documentation.
  • Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate commerce regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year MVR review.
