Supported by a 24/7 in-house call-center, FSCA provides maintenance scheduled and unscheduled services to fleets anywhere, anytime.

FSCA is currently hiring an EMS Technician Level II. This is a mid-level Technician role responsible for performing certified DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance inspections, light repairs, and diagnostics, among other duties. The technician may also perform scheduled work on customer fleets and provide emergency roadside assistance. The role requires creative problem-solving, self-management, decision-making skills, excellent customer service, attention to detail, and situational awareness. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to operate effectively in emergencies are essential. The technician must follow established procedures, ensure safety, and document work accurately. The EMS Technician II aims for excellence and quality in all tasks.

Duties

  • Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters, alternators, engine electronics, power steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, etc.
  • Participate in safety training and stay updated on safety protocols to promote a safety culture.
  • Document work, parts used, and findings using company devices and PRONTO application.
  • Communicate with management, team members, and dispatch via Microsoft Office, email, or phone for approvals, notes, and discussions.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety, health, environmental policies, and regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
  • Obtain parts from approved vendors as needed.
  • Complete DOT and other required forms promptly.
  • Manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • Understand and evaluate technical information relevant to the job.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Work independently, managing daily schedules.
  • Engage with clients to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve issues.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck equipment, listening to and testing defective components.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess necessary hand tools for the job.
  • Must pass a DOT-regulated background check and physical prior to employment.
  • Valid DOT medical card or valid medical exemption.
  • Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate commerce regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year MVR review.
