The State of Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health: EMS Program in Carson City seeks a full-time EMS Specialist to assist agencies with compliance certifications, licenses, permits, inspections and training. The role involves reviewing documents, preparing reports, and supporting program development according to state regulations.

Qualifications

Three or more years of EMS experience as described in the duties.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of EMS laws, regulations and policies.

Responsabilités

Issue permits to ambulance services by inspecting vehicles and equipment for compliance.
Issue licenses to ambulance attendants by evaluating training and experience.
Certify emergency medical technicians to ensure proper training and monitoring.
Monitor EMS training programs for adherence to national standards.
Develop curricula and conduct certification testing.
Participate in development of minimum performance standards for EMS systems.
Analyze reports and data for quality control of EMS systems.
Assist in epidemiologic studies concerning trauma issues.
