Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Per Diem, part-time EMS Communications Dispatcher in Pennsauken, NJ. The role focuses on MEDCOM radio and phone operations to ensure rapid, accurate coordination of emergency and non-emergency transports within the Virtua EMS network.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, EMT-B preferred, and may require completion of dispatcher training within six months. This night-shift position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent. EMT-B preferred.
• Experience in EMS/911 dispatch preferred. Local EMS knowledge a plus.
• Certification courses within 6 months of hire (EMD/Telecommunicator) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate MEDCOM radios, equipment, and phones for efficient EMS communications.
• Receive calls and relay information to chiefs or facilities.
• Enter responses into CAD system and ensure NJ regulations are followed.
• Coordinate emergent and non-emergent transport movements.
• Support MICU Field Operations and disaster coordination as needed.
