Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ seeks a part-time EMT-Basic to provide high-quality emergency medical response and interfacility transport.

You will assess patients, deliver BLS, drive ambulances safely, document care, and support a fast-paced team in a Magnet-recognized health system.

Qualifications include EMT-Basic certification, CPR, EVOC, and completion of an EMT-Basic training program; weekend/night availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous EMS field experience preferred.
• New graduates from accredited EMT programs will be considered.
• High school diploma or GED required
• Graduate of a recognized Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Conducts thorough patient assessments and provides basic life support (BLS) in line with NJ protocols.
• Operates an ambulance safely and professionally, following laws and driving policies.
• Documents patient assessments, interventions, and transfers using the ePCR system.
• Performs vehicle and equipment checks at shift start and maintains readiness.
• Maintains infection control and decontamination of ambulance and equipment after transports.
• Participates in training and onboarding of new staff and trainees.
