Job summary

All American Ambulance and Transport is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Operator in Lothian, MD to operate emergency vehicles and transport patients. Role includes responding to select medical non-emergencies and inter-facility transfers with adherence to EMS regulations and company policy.

Applicants should have PSC license eligibility, CPR/BLS certification, EVOC experience, and a demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision with professional conduct and strong patient care focus.

Qualifications

• PSC license process or current eligibility for licensure with MIEMSS.
• CPR – BLS certification by AHA or Red Cross.
• EVOC certification with appropriate experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and good judgment.
• Professional conduct with patients, partners and EMS staff.
• Ability to reflect credibly on the agency in public interactions.
• Commitment to patient care and safety in EMS operations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with agency policies.
• Prepares vehicle and equipment for shift start and after each call; clean and restock.
• Responds to emergencies and non-emergencies per Maryland EMS regs and policy; wear seat belt.
• Delivers patient to the nearest appropriate medical facility safely.
• Maintains professional demeanor reflecting the EMT role and agency reputation.
• Completes all paperwork and records for every assignment.
• Obtains billing information for clients transported.
• Follows infection control policies and preventive precautions.
