Job summary

Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for Emergency Medical Services adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at one of our other off-campus centers. Initial assignment may be at one of our teaching locations, but the official work station assignment may change each semester.

The successful applicant will become certified and fully use the course management system (eLearn) for all classes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate hours in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) required for transfer courses.
• Bachelor’s degree with teaching experience or graduate work required for non-transfer courses.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and college personnel.

Responsibilities

• Teach EMS courses at Covington, Dyersburg, and Paris; prepare course materials; evaluate student learning and submit reports on time.
• Maintain student records and submit required reports.
• Communicate curriculum and personnel needs to assigned director/dean.
