Job summary

Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for Criminal Justice adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at one of our off-campus centers.

Initial assignment may be at a teaching location, but the official work station may change each semester. Applicants will use the eLearn system for all classes, attend required meetings, report attendance, and submit final grades by deadlines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in Criminal Justice.
• Non-transfer courses require a Bachelor’s degree with teaching experience or graduate work.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Criminal Justice courses at Covington, Dyersburg, and/or Paris; prepare course materials.
• Evaluate student learning, maintain class records, and submit required reports on time.
• Communicate curriculum and personnel needs to the chair/dean and participate in required meetings.
