The position reports to the HIM Operations Manager and requires adherence to HIPAA guidelines, attention to detail, and the ability to manage routine tasks in a high-volume environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR and document imaging software.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and HIM department operations.

Responsabilidades

• Retrieve, prepare, scan, and index medical records into the EMR.
• Ensure accuracy of patient identification and document placement.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient data.
• Interact professionally with leadership, staff, and patients.
• Perform basic maintenance of scanning equipment and report issues.
