Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Medical Records Coordinator at our Canterbury location. The role focuses on the successful utilization of the electronic medical record (EMR) and requires collaboration with physicians, office staff and nursing leadership to audit, analyze and train on EMR practices.

Responsibilities include maintaining complete, accurate records and supporting regulatory compliance, while delivering a supportive presence for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of one year in nursing management in the long-term industry.
• Two years of professional nursing experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative care or geriatric nursing setting.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for the successful utilization of the EMR through auditing, analysis, and training.
• Work with physicians, office staff, nursing management and staff to utilize the EMR effectively.
