Job summary

Star Valley Health is seeking a Clinical Information Systems Support Specialist to assist in implementing and maintaining EMR and clinical software. You will educate users, act as a liaison between clinical and IT teams, and help customize forms, reports and updates to align with professional standards.

You will collaborate with departments, participate in testing, and assist with HIPAA security and training.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in clinical informatics or healthcare IT roles.
• Experience with EMR systems and training clinicians.
• Ability to coordinate between clinical, IT and administrative teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in EMR implementation and maintenance.
• Develop flow charts and e-forms with departments.
• Educate clinicians about informatics issues and system benefits.
• Support form customization, reporting and updates for clinical software.
• Coordinate between clinical, financial and technical components as new products are introduced.
• Participate in testing of new releases and vendor coordination.
• Assist IT with security settings and HIPAA compliance.
• Attend workshops to stay current with clinical applications.
• Hours may vary and on-call coverage may be required.
