EMERGENCE ACADEMY in Springfield, MA is seeking a Math Teacher for the Springfield Public Schools. This full-time, school-year role starts August 10, 2026, with a base salary up to $96,864.45 and commensurate with experience. A valid Massachusetts DESE educator license in the appropriate subject/grade is required, with a Bachelor’s degree.

The educator will help students access high-quality learning, build belonging, and collaborate with staff and families to support growth and success.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching at the middle or high school level.
• Massachusetts DESE educator license in the appropriate subject and grade level required or eligible for licensure waiver.
• Demonstrated ability to support a range of learners through strong instruction and relationship-building.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned math instruction using research-based curriculum.
• Use student data and formative assessment to adjust instruction and promote academic growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues, including co-teaching teams and professional learning communities.
• Engage families as partners through regular communication and shared problem-solving.
