Job summary

Venture Community Services Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with disabilities in daily activities and community participation. You will provide hands-on support for personal care, household tasks, and transportation to appointments, while promoting independence and empowerment.

The role includes paid training, a sign-on bonus, and a 40-hour full-time schedule. A positive, supportive team environment and opportunities for ongoing education are offered.

Qualifications

• Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet program needs, including holidays or overnights.

Responsibilities

• Advocate and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities, empowering them to be active in their lives.
• Assist with household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, and personal care as needed.
• Assist clients to medical appointments, banking, community activities, and outings.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans and goals; follow medical guidelines.
• Maintain certifications and comply with agency policies and DDS regulations; participate in training.
