Job summary

Opportunity Partners in Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help adults with disabilities live independently in group homes and participate in their communities.

You will support daily living, promote hobbies, assist with meals and personal care, accompany medical appointments, and help develop independence and problem-solving skills in a supportive, inclusive team environment with flexible full-time, part-time, and on-call schedules.

Responsibilities

• Support people with disabilities to live in their homes and participate in their communities.
• Assist with increasing independence and quality of life.
• Promote hobbies and recreational activities.
• Assist with meal preparation, household chores, and personal cares.
• Provide support with medical appointments & medication administration.
• Support and develop independent living skills.
• Provide education and opportunities to problem solve with regards to safety skills, social interactions, and self-advocacy.
