Job summary

WellLife Network is looking for compassionate Direct Support Professionals in New York City. In this role, you will provide hands-on care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living tasks and promoting their independence.

You will collaborate with clients to advocate for their needs and help them engage in community activities. A high school diploma and a valid NY Driver’s License are required. The position offers a competitive hourly rate, medical benefits, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency diploma required.
• A valid New York State Driver’s License with at least 2 years of driving experience required.
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing and grooming.
• Administer medications as directed and support medical appointments.
• Assist individuals in mobility and navigate their environments safely.
• Plan and participate in recreational and social activities.
• Maintain documentation and records of care.
• Advocate for individual needs and rights.
