Job summary

Recovery Centers of Montana seeks a Peer Support Specialist to empower adults with mental illness through self determination, problem solving, and community integration. You will support treatment teams, monitor progress, and provide emotional support and transportation as needed.

You will document observations in client records, participate in meetings and trainings, and help co-facilitate groups and family activities.

Qualifications

• Ability to assess needs of adults and build trusting relationships.
• Strong knowledge of community resources and how to access services.
• Ability to travel using own vehicle to transport participants.
• Must pass CPS and criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Establishes a supportive relationship with individuals served.
• Collaboratively establishes with the treatment team a case plan with goals and activities.
• Records observations and reports to the support team in a timely manner.
• Attends meetings and trainings; participates in family nights and support groups.
• Meets with supervisor bi-weekly to discuss services.
