Job summary

Love & Loyalty Home Care LLC seeks a Direct Support Professional to help children and adolescents with developmental disabilities build daily living and social skills in community settings.

You will support goal attainment under their Individualized Service Plan, encourage independence and respectful relationships, and participate in required training and supervision to ensure safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Caring, patient, dependable, and responsible.
• Comfortable working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities.
• Able to communicate clearly and respectfully.
• Willing to complete required training and competency requirements.
• Able to obtain and maintain background checks and CPR/First Aid certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals build daily living and independence skills.
• Support social and communication skills.
• Participate in fun and meaningful community activities.
• Help individuals work toward goals in their Individualized Service Plan.
• Encourage independence, choice, and confidence.
• Support safe and positive relationships.
• Observe and report important changes or concerns.
• Complete accurate service documentation.
• Communicate with supervisors, families, and other members of the support team.
