RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Statesville/Pinewood, NC. This full-time role provides person-centered support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and those facing mental health or substance use challenges.

You will help individuals identify needs, support independence, and empower self-advocacy in daily activities and the community. The position requires compassionate communication, reliable documentation, and adherence to guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Complete pre-employment screening.
• Compassionate, patient and dedicated to person-centered support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to foster independence while providing necessary support.
• Knowledge of disability rights, self-advocacy and community integration principles.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for individuals' rights and independence.
• Promote health and safety and wellness initiatives.

• Assist with transportation to appointments and activities.
