CARC, INC. in Carlsbad, NM is seeking a Vocational Floater to work with adults with IDD in our Vocational Department. You will deliver tailored vocational training, develop individualized programs, and evaluate progress to support workplace success.

This full-time role emphasizes hands-on instruction, inclusive learning, and collaboration with a dedicated team to empower students to reach their vocational goals. Strong communication and record-keeping are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to pass New Mexico Department of Health background checks.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds.
• Flexibility in working with a diverse population of adults with IDD and adapting instruction.
• Strong passion for vocational education and empowering individuals with IDD.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and compliance with laws.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver individualized vocational training programs based on the abilities and goals of adult learners with IDD.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes engagement, independence and self-confidence.
• Hands-on personal care of clients when necessary.
• Assess individual progress regularly and provide constructive feedback and support to maximize learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of individuals progress and services provided.
