Job summary

Audubon Schools seeks a Special Education Teaching Assistant to support SPED students on the assigned campus. You will assist Lead Teachers, help manage lessons, and facilitate an inclusive classroom environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma and experience with children; CPI training is required or willingness to attend. Preference for a Bachelor's degree or ABA training. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience working with children in a school or related setting.
• Experience in public school systems or charter schools is desirable.
• Must be trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or willing to attend training.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teachers with daily needs and goals.
• Help organize and maintain classroom environment.
• Observe lessons and assist with materials and directions.
• Provide extra support to SPED students and track progress.
• Meet with teachers to discuss observations and remediation.
• Build relationships with SPED students and encourage growth.
