Audubon-Schools seeks a Special Education Teaching Assistant to support SPED students across assigned campus settings in New Orleans. You will assist the Lead Teacher with daily routines, adapt instructions, and help manage classroom materials and behavior support.

The role requires collaboration with instructional staff, strong communication, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for diverse learners.

Formación

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience working with children in a school setting preferred.
• Experience with public schools or charters desirable.
• Must be trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or willing to attend.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
• Observe lessons and share observations with the Lead Teacher.
• Help with material preparation, distribution, and classroom organization.
• Support SPED students, including behavior support and cool-down strategies.
• Maintain regular communication with Lead Teachers and Instructional staff.
• Assist in documentation of student progress and classroom data.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student success.
