Job summary

North Stonington Public Schools in Connecticut seeks a Special Education Teacher for a long-term substitute position. Under the Director of Special Services and Building Principal, you will provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities within IEPs and ensure access to the general curriculum.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of special education principles and IEP processes.
• Experience with CTSEDS and data collection.
• Ability to collaborate with families, staff, and related service providers.

Responsibilities

• Develops, monitors, and revises IEPs per procedures.
• Serves as case manager; coordinates services and PPT meetings.
• Maintains CTSEDS records and data.
• Provides differentiated instruction aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborates with general education teachers for access to curriculum.
• Utilizes assistive technology and educational software.
• Collects progress data and reports for PPT.
• Implements accommodations and behavioral supports.
