Talladega County Schools invites applications for a Special Education Teacher. This nine-month contract position requires a valid Alabama teaching certificate in the assigned area and a commitment to high-quality instruction and student growth.

You will align with state and district standards, collaborate with staff, and support students’ academic and personal development through individualized education plans and supportive classroom environments.

Qualifications

• Valid Alabama teaching certificate in assigned area.
• Experience with special education programs.
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Participate in school and district planning and committees.
• Follow approved courses of study and curriculum materials.
• Maintain accurate records and evaluate student progress; complete IEP documentation.
• Coordinate scheduling and conduct IEP meetings for transitions.
• Provide consultative services to teachers, counselors and parents.
• Develop and implement behavior management plans for students with disabilities.
