Job summary

Gasconade Co School District R2 is seeking a certified special education teacher to develop and deliver individualized instruction to students with disabilities, aligning with the general education curriculum and required IEPs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, data-driven instruction, and adherence to Board policies while maintaining confidentiality and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Valid Missouri Teacher’s certificate and appropriate content area/grade level certification.
• Criminal background clearance (fingerprint).
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be accepted by the Board and/or Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Creates relevant, engaging, and personalized learning experiences for each student.
• Develops opportunities for students to take ownership and control of their learning.
• Can work in a technology-rich environment (Google Apps for Education and Chromebooks).
• Understands how to use data to drive student learning.
• Experience and knowledge of standards-based learning/grading.
• Teaches district approved curriculum and adheres to adopted Board of Education policies.
