Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Education; Special Education preferred.
• Valid Missouri Certificate from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education or ability to obtain upon hire (Mild/Moderate Cross Categorical).
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Basic technological skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow school/district policies and procedures.
• Apply instructional processes to teach and assess students.
• Provide leadership, motivation, instruction and assessment as needed.
• Communicate student progress with parents and team members.
• Collaborate with peers to enhance instruction and learning environments.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional behavior at all times.
• Plan and supervise paraprofessional duties as needed.
• Administer first aid and support for medically fragile students when required.
• Participate in IEP/Eligibility meetings and document IEP/Evaluation paperwork.
