Responsibilities

Plan and prepare instruction based upon District curriculum and student needs
Demonstrate knowledge of all content areas and child development
Provide instruction in all core academic areas following district curriculum with high and attainable outcomes
Design and use assessment data to monitor progress and maintain records
Create an environment of respect and rapport that fosters learning
Manage classroom procedures and student behaviour
Communicate with students and their families
Collaborate with other educators within the school and across the District
Implement 504 and IEP accommodations and modifications
Participate professionally, reflecting on teaching and demonstrating professionalism
Follow District policies and procedures
Complete other duties as assigned by the principal
