Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• At least 48 college hours preferred.
• Texas Educational Aide Certification preferred or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with student goals by working with small groups or individuals.
• Support classroom management and behavior plans to foster learning.
• Supervise students during meals, breaks, events, and programs.
• Prepare paperwork for ARD/IEP processes; collect and enter data.
• Help plan and implement differentiated instruction.
• May assist Life Skills students; mobility and safety support may be required.
• Participate in CPI certification or approved equivalent for de-escalation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
