Job summary

Uplift Education seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans, collaborate on ARD processes, and adapt instructional strategies for diverse learners. The position requires Texas special education endorsements or pursuing certification, a strong commitment to equity, and capability to manage classroom needs and supervision duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with required special education endorsements for assignments or be able to obtain such.
• Master's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD Committee process for each student.
• Design and implement instructional or skill development programs with written plans for review.
• Ensure learning styles and needs are met through appropriate instructional strategies, activities, materials, and equipment.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers on student IEPs to ensure modifications are met and assist in regular class.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings regularly.
• Design instructional activities using data from student learning styles assessments.
• Ensure IEP guidelines are met when presenting subject matter.
• Use diverse media and techniques to meet student needs.
• Produce and oversee teacher aide and volunteer assignments.
• Employ technology to strengthen instructional process.
