Job summary

Uplift Education seeks a dedicated Special Education teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans and support students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. The role involves collaboration with parents, staff, and ARD committees to tailor instructional programs and ensure appropriate modifications.

The candidate will create and maintain IEPs, employ various instructional strategies, and supervise aides and volunteers while adhering to certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education required; endorsements preferred.
• Texas Teaching Certification required or candidates must enroll in certification program.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills essential to work with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop IEPs in collaboration with ARD Committee for assigned students.
• Design and implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill-building programs.
• Monitor learning styles and adapt strategies and materials to student needs.
• Coordinate with classroom teachers to ensure modifications and supports are applied.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings to review progress and outcomes.
