Job summary

Bedford Public Schools seeks a Special Education Liaison (LTS 2026-2027) to support Lt. Job Lane Elementary School. The role focuses on implementing services aligned with IEPs, coordinating with teachers and specialists, and maintaining accurate records.

The position requires collaboration with families, ongoing professional development, and adherence to confidentiality. Massachusetts licensure in Moderate Special Needs is preferred, with Master's degree favored and prior teaching experience

Qualifications

• Master's Degree preferred.
• Massachusetts Licensure in Moderate Special Needs (1-6).
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Orton-Gillingham training preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of a Massachusetts Criminal Record Check (C.O.R.I.) and a National Criminal Background Check including fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement schedules for students' services in accordance with their IEPs' service delivery.
• Coordinate schedules with classroom teachers and other specialists' service delivery.
• Select appropriate instructional programs and methodologies and implement instruction aligned to IEP goals.
• Provide instruction addressing IEP goals with differentiation.
• Maintain and use adaptive equipment and materials.
• Develop classroom and curricular accommodations and modifications.
• Teach and plan cooperatively with subject area teachers.
• Assess progress and maintain data collection.
