Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs in Pittsburg, CA seeks an Instructional Aide to support students in Grades K-12 within a Special Education team. You will assist with IEP implementation, provide personalized instruction, and help students build essential skills in classroom and community settings.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, with Associate degree preferred, and ability to obtain CA credentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic skills test.
• Associate degree or higher preferred in education or related field.
• CA driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• Experience with special education or behavioral health settings preferred.
• Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders and other related disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized support and supervision in classroom and community settings.
• Assist with implementing IEPs and tailoring instruction to individual goals.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers about milestones.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and documentation.
• Assist with behavioral interventions and crisis management as needed.
• Prepare behavioral reports, activity logs, and documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success.
