• Associate's Degree or 48 semester hours of college required.
• Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test preferred.
• One year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required or ability to obtain.
• Degree equivalency: Bachelor's degree = 4 years plus experience; Master's degree = 6 years plus experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education teachers in instructing and supervising students with disabilities.
• Help prepare instructional materials and set up classrooms for activities.
• Supervise children in classroom and other areas of the school.
• Reinforce classroom lessons and provide additional assistance as requested.
• Coordinate special projects or programs as assigned.
