Job summary

Memphis Shelby County Schools seeks a dedicated Paraprofessional to support classroom instruction and student supervision. The role involves assisting teachers, preparing materials, and helping create a well-organized learning environment.

You will help reinforce lessons, supervise students in various areas of the school, and coordinate special projects as needed. CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain them is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of college (48 semester hours) required.
• Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test.
• Experience with children in an educational setting preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist assigned teachers in instructing and supervising students.
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom for activities.
• Supervise children in the classroom and in other areas of the school.
• Reinforce classroom lessons and provide additional support as requested.
• Coordinate special projects and programs as assigned.
