Job summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Nathan Hale Middle School will provide IEP-mandated speech services, evaluate referred students, write related reports, and share evaluation findings at PPT meetings. The SLP will consult with school staff on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

  • Licensure by the CT State Board of Health is required.
  • Experience in writing IEP goals/objectives.
  • Experience with the PPT process.
  • Experience in working with families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Spanish fluency is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts speech, language, and hearing screenings.
  • Evaluates and identifies communication disorders of students.
  • Provides diagnostic services when appropriate.
  • Develops IEPs and implements them.
  • Provides direct services across diverse enrollment groups.
  • Maintains required documentation and reports.
