Job summary

AMN Healthcare seeks a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based contract in Rowan County, NC. You will work under a licensed SLP to deliver services to preschool through K-12 students, aligning with IEPs and district guidelines.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, data collection, and direct therapy in classroom and therapy settings, with a Monday–Friday schedule during school hours. Prior SLPA experience in schools is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech/Communication Sciences and Disorders or equivalent.
• Active SLPA license in NC or credential as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Implement speech-language treatment activities designed by supervising SLP.
• Provide direct services to students in individual and small groups.
• Support articulation, language, social communication, and AAC goals.
• Assist with therapy material prep and data collection.
• Document progress and report to supervising SLP per district policies.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to reinforce communication strategies.
