Job summary

You will assist in assessments, implement treatment plans, and help with data collection under supervision.

The role involves using AAC devices, documenting progress, educating families, coordinating scheduling, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in SLPA program or related field.
• SLPA certification or licensure as required by state regulations.
• CPR certification may be required.
• Experience with individuals with communication disorders preferred.
• Clinical internship or practicum experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Assessment and Treatment under the supervision of the SLP.
• Follow treatment plans and provide direct therapy services.
• Use AAC devices and other technology as directed.
• Conduct screenings for speech, language, and hearing.
• Record accurate and timely session notes and data.
• Assist the SLP in preparing progress reports and documentation.
• Educate and support students and families about therapy goals.
• Demonstrate therapy techniques for home practice.
• Maintain student confidentiality and adhere to guidelines.
• Assist with scheduling sessions and prepare materials.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with staff.
• Engage in continuing education to maintain professional skills.
