Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support students in special education and alternative education settings nationwide.

You will provide OT services aligned with IEP/ISP goals, and may perform assessments as required by state and district requirements. The role involves collaboration with teachers, regular communication with families, and ensuring interventions are integrated into classroom activities.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s or master’s in occupational therapy; NBCOT Certification and/or valid State Certification as specified in contract.
• Ability to work independently, motivated and well-organized.
• Good communication skills with adults and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy intervention for students to facilitate fine motor coordination based on IEP/ISP goals.
• Monitor student progress.
• Test and evaluate students (if requested) to determine need for OT.
• Consult with classroom teachers to align OT plans with educational needs and classroom integration.
• Communicate with parents regularly about student progress and home activities.
• Create solutions to challenges based on research and professional judgment.
• Make referrals to community resources as needed.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely and organized manner.
• Other duties may be assigned.
