Job summary

Riverside Community Care is seeking a Residential Counselor to join a supportive team. You will assist individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or brain injury, helping them learn daily living skills, build relationships, and participate in community activities.

The role emphasizes respect for each person’s uniqueness and fosters independence. Schedule includes Saturdays 9am-3pm and Sundays 9am-11pm (20 hours).

Responsibilities

• Provide support, supervision, coaching, and companionship to individuals.
• Help residents maintain physical and emotional health and live safely in the community.
• Foster relationships with housemates, family, and neighbors.
• Develop skills that increase independence, confidence, and self-determination.
• Encourage participation in community activities, work, and volunteer opportunities.
