Job summary

Owen Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Indiana is seeking a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to provide resident care under nursing and medical staff supervision. You will administer medications, take vital signs, and document care per physician orders.

Applicants must hold a QMA certificate in good standing and a current CNA certificate, with one year of long-term care experience preferred. The role includes duties as a CNA when not administering medications and requires

Qualifications

• QMA Certificate in good standing on file with the appropriate Department of Health and current CNA Certificate.
• One year experience in long-term care setting desired.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records resident's vital signs and weight.
• Administers and documents medications per physician orders, including oral, topical, and suppository medications, as well as eye and ear drops.
• Maintains compliance with personnel policies, community procedures, and Federal and State regulations including HIPAA privacy and confidentiality laws; follows Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness plans.
