Job summary

OPS Living is seeking a qualified Medication Aide (QMA) in Indiana to administer medications, monitor resident responses, and provide direct resident care as part of a collaborative nursing team.

Ideal candidates will have an Indiana QMA certification (and CNA if required), CPR, and strong observation and communication skills to ensure safe, dignified, and person-centered care for seniors in a supportive community.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana QMA certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments safely according to physician orders and company policies.
• Follow the Five Rights of Medication Administration and Indiana regulations.
• Observe residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and adverse reactions.
• Report medication concerns or resident condition changes promptly to the licensed nurse.
• Maintain medication carts, storage rooms, and controlled substances.
• Ensure medication documentation is completed accurately and timely.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed (bathing, dressing, grooming, dining).
• Observe and report changes in resident condition, mobility, or cognition.
• Document medication administration and resident care accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and participate in audits/surveys.
• Promote resident safety and infection prevention; respond to emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, caregivers, physicians, pharmacies, and team members.
• Assist in training new caregivers and medication aides as assigned.
