Job summary

Bilingual Therapies is seeking an Orientation and Mobility Specialist to support students across elementary to high school within a Missouri district near Liberty. This contract role runs from August 24 through May 28, serving visually impaired learners with direct instruction and assessments.

You will deliver hands-on mobility lessons, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with teachers and families to foster independence, safety, and confidence in students’ daily lives.

Qualifications

• National certification (ACVREP/COMS) is required.
• Experience working with visually impaired children/adolescents.
• Knowledge of orientation and mobility techniques (cane travel, guide dog readiness, Braille, money management, independent living).
• Strong interpersonal skills with students, families, and educational teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel to multiple district schools.

Responsibilities
