Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate's Degree or 48 credit hours or ability to pass assessment (WorkKeys)
• Desirable: Associate's Degree with concentration in Education; more than two years of classroom experience
• NC Apprenticeship/Professional Development completion may be considered in lieu of degree

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction of individual or groups in all curricular areas as directed
• Plan and work with teachers on reinforcing skills
• Operate and care for instructional equipment and materials
• Monitor students to provide safe learning environment
• Interact positively with students, parents and staff
• Collaborate with team members and share strategies
• Alert teachers to student information or issues
• Participate in in-service professional growth
• Assist with routines and transitions
• Assist in checking materials and supervising students
• Assist with attendance, record-keeping, money collection, ordering materials
