Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators is seeking a Special Education Teacher - Middle School to develop and implement programs within assigned locations, aligning to standards and IEP processes.

You will collaborate with administrators and teachers to support students with autism, cognitive and social-emotional needs, participate in IEP meetings, and help create positive school climate while ensuring district policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with students with autism and behavioral needs.
• Knowledge of IEP processes and accommodations.
• Experience implementing evidence-based practices in special education.
• Endorsements in teaching areas as required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement special education programs within assigned locations.
• Coordinate IEP meetings and support development of IEPs.
• Align lessons to Common Core standards with accommodations and assessments.
• Collaborate with teachers and administration to implement programs and behavior plans.
• Prepare program goals, progress reviews, and maintain paperwork.
