New Diana ISD is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for middle school to support students with varying abilities. You will develop or modify curricula, prepare lessons, and collaborate with ARD committees to set and monitor IEP goals.

This role requires a Texas teaching certificate with special education endorsements, at least 3 years of experience preferred, and strong communication skills to partner with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments.
• Knowledge of ARD Committee process and IEP goal setting and implementation.
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for students with special needs.
• Strong communication skills with students, parents, and staff.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through the ARD process.
• Implement instructional or skill development programs for assigned students.
• Assess student learning styles and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Present material effectively using varied instructional techniques and technology.
• Assist regular classes by modifying curricula and supporting SPED students.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings and select books/equipment as needed.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement.
• Provide or supervise personal and medical care as stated in IEP.
• Support extracurricular activities and coordinate with campus principals.
