Job summary

Wayne County Schools Employment Network is seeking a Classroom Teacher to plan, organize and implement an instructional program in an elementary or secondary setting under the supervision of the principal.

The teacher will plan, prepare, deliver lessons, assess student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district policies and state regulations, while engaging families and participating in school activities.

Qualifications

• Must have a B.A./B.S. degree in teaching or higher.
• Michigan Department of Education teaching certification.
• Ability to establish cooperative and effective working relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Must be able to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
• Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
• Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district and state.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and tests per procedures.
• Instruct and monitor students using learning materials and equipment.
• Use technology to support and differentiate instruction.

Education

Bachelor's degree in teaching

Michigan teaching certification
