Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a 7th & 8th Grade Girls Basketball coach for Forsythe Middle School in Ann Arbor, MI. This non-contractual hourly position will report directly to the Athletic Director and may become a permanent employee if hired as contract staff through the district program.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of basketball rules and techniques, and the ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification when applicable.

Qualifications

• Must understand the rules and fundamental techniques of the sport.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification when applicable.
• Ability to work effectively with coaching staff, parents and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Complies with MHSA A.A. policies and district policies.
• Maintains consistent communication with Athletic Director.
• Develops positive self-image through athletics.
• Attends clinics/workshops related to the sport.
• Uses effective teaching methods to develop skills and techniques.
• Demonstrates public support and loyalty for coaches.
• Shows positive team sportsmanship toward opponents and officials.
• Manages pre-contest details efficiently.
• Regular, reliable and punctual attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
