Job summary

Lincoln Park Public Schools seeks a Special Education Teacher – ASD (SV) for Middle School. The role focuses on adapting curricula, implementing ASD-specific strategies, and collaborating with general education to ensure inclusive practices.

Qualified candidates will hold Michigan SPED certification with an SV Autism Endorsement and prior center-based SPED experience. This full-time position follows the district’s calendar and salary per the LPEA Master Agreement.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Michigan SPED teaching certification.
• Endorsement in Autism Spectrum Disorder (SV) required or preferred.
• Experience with SPED population and center-based programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapt, modify, and align curricula for students with ASD.
• Assess and tailor instruction to individual needs.
• Implement trauma-informed/resiliency strategies and interventions.
• Develop and monitor individualized behavior plans.
• Coordinate with general education for LRE placement.
• Communicate effectively with school and community members.
• Maintain timely documentation and records.
• Collaborate with SPED supervisors and building principals.
