Job summary

COMHAR seeks a dedicated Peer Recovery Coach to provide peer-based support using lived experience to individuals at various stages of recovery. The role emphasizes empowerment, collaboration with care teams, and trauma-informed practices to promote self-directed recovery and wellness in a fast-paced environment.

The position is part-time in the Philadelphia, PA area, with a schedule that includes Monday-Friday 9:00AM-2:00PM and a wage of $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Lived experience in recovery, and ability to use it in peer support.
• Strong communication skills for diverse participants.
• Trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to recovery.

Responsibilities

• Engage individuals with stage-appropriate recovery education.
• Facilitate groups and co-facilitate meetings for new clients.
• Link individuals to community resources and peer supports.
• Support social connections and community integration.
• Provide education and advocacy within the community.
