The position is part-time in Philadelphia, with scheduled hours Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Compensation is $17.50 per hour, reflecting commitment to empathetic, person-centered care.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peer Recovery Coach to join our growing team. In this role, you will use your lived experience to provide peer-based support, encouragement, and advocacy to individuals at various stages of recovery. The Peer Recovery Coach works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote engagement, hope, and self-directed recovery, while maintaining timely and accurate documentation. The ideal candidate is reliable, empathetic, and person-centered, with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, recovery-oriented environment.
The Peer Recovery Coach provides non-clinical, peer‑based support to individuals impacted by substance use and/or mental health challenges by drawing on lived experience to build trust, inspire hope, and promote self‑directed recovery. Through authentic connection and a strengths‑based, trauma‑informed approach, the Coach supports participants in identifying personal goals, overcoming barriers, and developing practical skills to sustain wellness, while helping them navigate systems of care, access community resources, and strengthen natural supports. This role emphasizes empowerment, mutual respect, and collaboration with care teams, while modeling recovery‑oriented behaviors and reinforcing the belief that recovery is possible for everyone.
